Today I was informed that my author copies are on their way! I can’t wait to hold the physical book in my hand. I’m so excited to put it on my bookshelf, and to get my Nana her copy because she’s been waiting for what seems like forever to get her hands on this book.
Recently I wrapped up a new animated series for one of my favourite childhood toy brands. I won’t say which one at this point, but when the show is released, I’ll definitely be sharing. I will say that I was hired by Mattel, and that I had a lovely time working with them. The team was incredibly sweet and on top of it, I got to work with one of my favourite directors and studios!
I absolutely love doing voice over for brands like this. I’ve had the opportunity to record for some really cool toy brands, and upcoming kids series and I can’t wait to finally watch them!
Writing wise, I’ve got a few projects on the go. Obviously right now my publisher and I are working on getting the last copies of the ARC out to reviewers, and are planning for the release date. On top of that I’m also prepping the sequel to Vermin, which I’m loving right now and have been trying to avoid giving out any spoilers.
Outside of The Vermin Series, I’ve got other projects I’m working on that are still in the early stages of development. I find that when I get busy with work and other things, that it is helpful to keep a daily or weekly checklist. This keeps me on track, and I get to use cool pens…and for some reason using nice pens motivates me. I know it’s a bit weird but I just really love nice pens! I guess it isn’t that weird…but still!
If anyone ever needs to get me a birthday present or anything in the future, books and pens. That’s literally it. I will be so happy!
At the moment I’m also trying to find mixed media sketchbooks, but I haven’t had any luck. Now that some things are opening up again in my area I might be able to track one down.
