polly Pocket: Adventure Studios Season 2 is Out Now!

“It’s time for the annual share fair at Littleton Middle School and Lila’s got a tough act to follow in the form of Kangaroo!”

Thank you so much to the team for sending this to me! I had so much fun this season, especially listening to the rest of the cast and getting to play off of one another. They’re all so amazing, and lovely and talented.

Nicholas’s “My talent” scene made me laugh so hard when I got the original script, and seeing it fully animated made my day.

I also love that the kangaroo and Lila are having like this Street Fighter style battle. Gosh…I love this season so much, there’s a lot of great stuff, and I can’t wait for the next episode.

Princess Frou Frou – Hailey and the Hero Hearts

Episode: A Slight Hiccup đź’–

Synopsis:

Hailey can’t stop blabbing and tells Aliya what Rebecca is getting her for her birthday. The Hero Heart sends them all to Princess Frou Frou’s castle (Hailey’s stuffed bear come alive). They meet Madame Glam, the makeup brush charged with putting on the princess’ makeup. She has hiccups that need fixing because every hiccup means another horrible streak on the queen’s face! The royal dehiccuppers can’t do their job because Blurt the trumpet keeps giving away the surprise from Jack (jack-in-the-box)! The team helps Blurt slow down when he’s excited and they restore trust on the dehiccupper team as the girls learn that trust is so important in a good team.

I was so excited watching this episode. I play a lot of other additional characters throughout the series (like kittens and marbles) but I had so much fun voicing Princess Frou Frou! We got to record this episode with all of the actors, in studio and let me tell you…it was an absolute blast getting to play off one another during our reads! I loved it so much, and I’m glad we’re back to recording like this again now that studios have opened up. Ensembles are so much fun, and I can’t wait to watch the rest of this series!

You can watch the earlier episodes on Epic Story Jr.

Introducing Polly Pocket Fab Lab!

I’m super excited about this new series! Peaches the dog is adorable, I actually used to have a Polly Pocket dog that looked just like her when I was little. I still have the majority of my Polly Pocket’s, and am a huge fan so being apart of this series and getting to work with Mattel on this show has been so much fun!

This is the first episode for the new series, and there’s more fun-sized adventures to come!

You’ll most likely see a familiar face in a very fun upcoming episode. Hehehe…

Matchbox World Tour Episode 1

It’s finally here!

I had so much fun watching this. It’s so cool seeing the episode, after imagining it in my head while recording the lines for Kayla and Emerson Felix. Seeing the teams vision come to life, and getting the opportunity to be apart of it is so cool.

I love the music, the transitions between reality and the kids imaginations. It seriously captures what it’s like to play, and how your imagination really does open up these fantastic worlds full of adventure.

I loved reading the map clues in each episode, that was always super fun. I learned some really neat new facts about places around the world! It was nice, pretending to travel all over as Kayla while recording from home.

I can’t wait to watch the next episode, and I hope everyone enjoys the show as much as I do.

Trailer is Out!

I just watched the trailer for one of the shows I’m on and it is so cute! I absolutely adore it.

I loved recording with this cast pre-covid (miss you all!) and working with everyone at the studio. I had a blast. I can’t wait for everyone to meet my characters. I hope you’ll love them as much as I do!

The show is for ages 4-8, but I think older kids around 10 will enjoy it as well. It’s warm, colourful and fun!

Plus, MAGICAL GIRL TRANSFORMATIONS!

Yep. It’s so cute.

You can check out the trailer here and listen to the theme song!

BIPOC Manga’s

After my last post I decided to challenge myself by finding some BIPOC manga and comicbooks to read. I know of some in the works that I’ve been following on Instagram but as for other’s I truthfully never thought to look for more. When I come across them I read them but actively hunting isn’t something I do. I’m the type of reader that likes to wander.

I know a few Middle Grade comics with BIPOC character’s, but I couldn’t think of any for YA or Adult off the top of my head. If you asked me about say, character’s in the DC universe through series I’ve watched I’d have more to list. As for Middle Grade I seen/read Fake Blood, Spider-verse, New Kid and a few others with BIPOC.

I came across a couple of lists, the first being: 10 Manga’s Featuring Black Character’s. Of that list I decided to check out Adorned by Chi. I thought it sounded interesting. I like magical girl stories…which is why I constantly use Sailormoon gifs and memes haha.

I also found a really cute one called Princess Love Pon. I’ve started reading it already. It’s incredibly adorable. Yep. It’s adorable. I hope I can read more of it while I’m on break at work!

Tephlon Funk is a manga I’ve been following through Instagram for a while. I love the art style. It’s not in the kawaii, cutesy magical girl style…so if that’s not your thing, then maybe Tephlon Funk is for you? What drew me to this series was the art. I don’t know what it was about it that just made me go “Wow I wanna read this!” but something clicked. All the characters have so much personality in each individual frame, and the hair! I love hair. I love drawing it so I really admire when other people do a great job drawing it. I can tell how much detail they put into it. I recommend checking it out!

There’s another called Love! Love! Fighting! which looks like a really cute shojo. I’m definitely going to read more about it. The artwork almost gives me a 90s manga vibe.
